A little bit about me & Emma’s Massage Therapy 💆‍♀️
Hi, I’m Emma, and I’m the person behind Emma’s Massage Therapy.
I’m a qualified massage therapist, and I’m also blind. Being visually impaired is a big part of who I am, but I never want it to define me or what I’m capable of. In fact, I feel that my sight loss has helped me develop a real awareness of touch, pressure and how people respond to treatment.
For me, massage is about so much more than simply giving a treatment. It’s about creating a calm, comfortable space where you can switch off from everyday life, relax and have some time just for yourself.
I take the time to listen to each client and understand what they need, whether that’s easing away tension, enjoying some much-needed relaxation or simply having an hour where you can completely unwind.
Starting my own massage business is something I’m really proud of. I want to show that having a visual impairment doesn’t have to stop you from following your dreams, learning new skills and building something of your own.
I’m based at Welwyn Podiatry Practice on a Thursday and offer Holistic Full Body Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage.
