Welcome to Herts Deals! We are thrilled to have you as part of our community of independent businesses. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline the agreement between Herts Deals (“we”, “us”, “our”) and your business (“you”, “your”, “the Business Partner”).
By signing up and creating a profile on Herts Deals, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Herts Deals was built specifically to support local, independent businesses.
To list on our platform, your business must have a physical presence or operate within Hertfordshire.
We strictly do not allow national or international corporate chains or franchises.
We reserve the right to decline or remove any business listing that doesn’t fit our community ethos of supporting true local independents.
From time to time, we may run special promotional campaigns, introductory offers, or discount codes. If you sign up using a promotional offer, the following terms apply:
Delayed Billing/Free Trials: If your specific promotional code includes a delayed billing period (for example, paying nothing until our official launch date), your card will not be charged upon sign-up. Your recurring billing cycle will automatically begin on the specific date or milestone stated in that promotion.
Ongoing or “Lifetime” Discounts: If your promotional code offers a discounted rate for the lifetime of your subscription, that discount is locked in permanently for as long as you maintain an active, uninterrupted subscription with us.
Subscription Management: Standard subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis. You can update your billing preferences or cancel your subscription at any time directly through your Business Hub dashboard.
Herts Deals is a flat-rate subscription platform. We take 0% commission on the sales, bookings, or footfall generated through our platform.
Any transactions, payments, or bookings take place directly between you and the customer (either in your physical shop or on your own website). Herts Deals does not handle customer payments for your goods or services.
When you register, you will create access details for your online “Business Hub”.
You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and login details.
You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. Herts Deals cannot be held liable for any changes made to your profile or deals due to compromised login details.
You are entirely in control of your Business Profile and the deals you publish.
Accuracy & Legality: You must ensure your opening times, pricing, contact details, and deal terms are kept up to date and legal. You agree to honour any active deals displayed on your profile when a customer presents them.
Content Ownership: You guarantee that you own the copyright for any logos, text, and images you upload to your profile. Prohibited or offensive content will be deleted immediately without a refund.
Our Marketing License: To help us promote your business, you grant Herts Deals a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and share your business name, logo, profile images, and deals across our website, marketing materials, and social media channels (like Instagram).
We don’t believe in trapping businesses into long, scary contracts.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. There is no minimum term contract.
If you cancel, your profile will remain live until the end of your current paid monthly/annual billing cycle, after which your listing will be deactivated.
Forfeiting Discounts: If you cancel a subscription that has an active promotional or discounted rate, you will forfeit that discount. If you choose to rejoin the platform later, you will need to do so at our standard, non-discounted current rate.
No Guarantees: While we do everything in our power to drive local footfall, traffic, and visibility to your business, Herts Deals cannot guarantee a specific number of sales, clicks, or customers.
Platform Downtime: We aim for 24/7 visibility, but occasionally the website may experience technical glitches or routine maintenance. We are not liable for any perceived loss of business during temporary tech updates.
Customer Disputes & Indemnity: Herts Deals acts purely as a digital noticeboard connecting local people to local businesses. Any disputes regarding the quality of goods, services, refunds, or customer experiences must be resolved directly between you and the customer. You agree to indemnify and hold Herts Deals harmless from any claims, damages, or legal costs arising out of your business operations, your deals, or your interactions with customers.
We take data protection seriously. Any personal or business data you provide to us during registration and account management is handled strictly in accordance with the UK GDPR and our separate Privacy Policy, which can be viewed on our website.
We may occasionally tweak these terms as the platform grows. If we make any major changes that impact your subscription or how the site works, we will give you at least 30 days’ written notice via the email address tied to your account.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
